Launch Copy

A website built to convert, not just to look finished.

A good-looking site that doesn't sell is an expensive brochure. We write the homepage, the pricing page, the product pages, and the about page as one argument, aimed at the one action you need a visitor to take.

The problem with most launch copy

Most websites are written in the order the pages appear in the nav, by whoever had time, often the founder at 11pm. The result reads fine and converts like a parked car. Each page makes its own small claim, nobody's leading the reader anywhere, and the strongest line is buried below a fold no one scrolls past.

How we write a site

Start at the action A demo, a trial, a reply. We name the one thing the site has to make a visitor do before we write a word.
Work backwards through every page Homepage sets the promise, product pages prove it, pricing removes the last excuse, about makes you a company a stranger would trust.
One voice, one path Every page pulls in the same direction. No page makes its own claim and forgets where the reader is going.
Microcopy that keeps people Buttons, form labels, the small lines that lose or keep someone. The conversion lives in those too.

You're reading the demo right now. This site is launch copy we wrote for ourselves. If it's holding your attention, that's the work.

  • Homepage, product/feature pages, pricing page, about page (typical 5 to 7 pages)
  • One voice and one conversion path across all of them
  • Headline options where the page hinges on the headline
  • Microcopy that matters: buttons, form labels, the small lines that lose or keep people
